I have just found him on trees in US so I think he can be ruled out as so far I have got 3 children for the John connected to Claire - Margaret b cir 1834 m McFerran - John b cir 1832 - 1890 a policeman retired - Margaret registered his death so that links them - Thomas b cir 1836 - named a brother in letters of admin for John - also shown as a carpenter living in Belfast - he died 1911 aged 74 - just to tharth us neither John or Thomas married. But Ahoghill John who I now know went to US would not have had these children - so need to find which John did
