McCLUGGAGE BROTHERS

 

I have DNA matches across the various DNA testing sites with nine people who come from various McCluggage lines so am confident that they all fit together . You will also see how boring they are over names for children - I have followed lines down for the children if you are interested

Here are the 4 siblings I have

1. James McCluggage cir 1790 - died 23 Jul 1866 at Ballygarvey outside Ballymena of infirmity aged 85 - married and a bleacher - death registered by son James - name of cert is McCluggish married to Agnes Murphy 1801 - 1891 - died of infirmity as well - aged 90 and a widow - death registered by grand-daughter Mary Jane McCluggage - Agnes' maiden name comes from the death certificate of her son John who died in Scotland

Children John b 1827, Margaret Jane b 1828 , James b 1835. William b 1837 and Thomas b 1843

2. Robert b cir 1793 - died 27 Sep 1879 at Carnduff Larne - of decay of nature aged 84 a farmer and widower - death registered by son Joseph = He was married to Margaret Moore 1880 - 1871 - maiden name from various death certs for her children - she died of Apoplexy (a stroke) 2 weeks durations - aged 71 - married to a farmer - death registered by husband Robert

Children Wm Hugh b 1819, Mary Eliza b 1825, Robert b 1826, James b 1827, Ann Jane b 1830, Thomas Moore b 1836, Edward b 1838 and Joseph b 1840

3. Your John b cir 1795 - you have dates for him and wife Margaret but I have no maiden name for her.

Children Wm b 1828, Margaret b 1831, John b 1832 and Thomas b 1841

4. My William b cir 1798 - that is nothing but a guess as he could be older - death unknown as must have died before 1864 married to Margaret Darroch - maiden name from death certs of 1 son and 1 daughter in Scotland - no dates known They lived at Tullyanhinnion near Portglenone

Children Thomas b 1820, John b 1821, James b 1823, Wm b 1826, Robert b 1832, Margaret Jane b 1834 (my 2 x great grandmother) and Alexander b 1838

Thomas seems to feature across the lines and does Margaret Jane ??????? a wild stab at names for their parents
