NESBITTS OF DONEGAL

There is no one alive to tell us but I reckon this is Samuel’s father Alexander (1858-1941) sat on the right. His elder brother Samuel (1853-Unkown) on the left seated. Top left back row his brother William Nesbitt (1864-1927). Next to him I believe to be Alexander MM DCM (1888-1970). Now here is the interesting bit could the guy in the middle be Samuel????????????????? I think it is quite possible!! On his right is Thomas Nesbitt (1857-Unknown). We don’t know if Samuel (b.1853) had any family or even married. He is believed to have moved to Glasgow, Scotland. William lived a long time in Devonport in England and was in the Royal Navy. He had one son James born in 1890. Both signed the Ulster Covenant in Greenock, Renfrewshire Sep 1912 where we believe he worked in a munitions factory. His sister Isabella (married James Mason) also Raymond Nesbitt wrote: Hi folks, discovered a few old and interesting photographs while clearing out the residence of our late cousin Robert Alexander McLaughlin who passed on 13 November 2013. His mother was Martha Nesbitt (1894-1955) and was a sister of Samuel Nesbitt.
