Just to say there is a hint in William Hannah's obituary that he had had
some problems. I feel sorry for the three girls. If you look at where
they were for the 1901 and 1911 census they don't all seem to have been
together. I think I remember finding one of them at school in Dublin.
My sister has a friend who was friendly with elderly people who lived in Ardglass. These people have now died, but the friend asked them about the Hannahs and they said they were well liked in Ardglass. They had a wireless and used to allow people in come in to listen to it. I guess that was probably about war time.
Charles McFarlane owned grey hounds, which he used for coursing. Gertie had a small dog, possibly a Yorkshire terrier. Once when my grandmother's brother was over visiting he took my mother, then a little girl, and the little dog to the local park. My mother tripped and fell on the dog. They couldn't understand after that why the dog limped!!
Regards,
